Umpqua Valley Quilters' Guild to Host 39th Annual Quilt Show

The Umpqua Valley Quilters' Guild is holding its 39th annual "Follow the Stars" Quilt Show this weekend, April 26, 27 and 28, at the Douglas County Fairgrounds. Doors open at 10 am each day. Come see over 300 quilts and nearly 20 vendors. Special Exhibits from Hoffman Fabrics' 100th Anniversary Challenge and Clark County Washington's Storytellers are included. Body of Rachel Merchant-Ly Recovered

IDLEYLD PARK, Ore. - The body of Rachel Merchant-Ly has been recovered from the North Umpqua River today. On April 19, 2024, Douglas County Sheriff's Office Search and Rescue organized a large scale search in their ongoing efforts to locate 27-year-old Rachel Merchant-Ly of Idleyld Park. Merchant-Ly was reported missing on Thursday, February 29, 2024, when she didn't arrive at Glide Elementary School where she worked as a kindergarten teacher. Cattle Dogs Golf Center, founded by Michael Morin and Desirae Cleary, is an indoor golf facility that caters to the needs of the local community. 37th Annual Plant & Garden Expo by Douglas County Master Gardeners

ROSEBURG, OR – The OSU Extension Master Gardeners will hold their 37th annual Plant & Garden Expo on Saturday, May 4th, from 9 am to 4 pm in the Exhibit building at the Douglas County Fairgrounds in Roseburg (Exit 123 off I-5). New Men's Recovery Group 'Overcoming' Launches in Roseburg

A new men's recovery group, "Overcoming," is now meeting every Tuesday evening at 6pm at 1533 SE Vine Street in Roseburg. The group focuses on Christian discipleship, biblical counseling, and spiritual disciplines to support men in their journey towards recovery. Green Valley Road To close at Old Highway 99 in Oakland on April 8

OAKLAND – Green Valley Road is scheduled to close at the Old Highway 99 intersection from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday, April 8, for paving work near the north end of the new Oakland Bridge. A 10-mile detour is available. During the closure, Green Valley Road residents can drive west along Rochester Bridge Road and Rolling Ridge Road, turn left at Oregon 138W (Elkton-Sutherlin Highway), then turn left onto Stearns Road to reach Oakland. UCC RiverHawks Triumph in Doubleheader Against SWOCC

Congrats to the UCC RiverHawks baseball team on both wins over SWOCC this afternoon! The first game was 3-0, and the second was 4-2. The Riverhawks return home for a doubleheader against Linn-Benton at One Champion Carwash Field on Thursday, April 11th at 1pm for Game 1, and 4pm for Game 2.
