The Glide volleyball defeated Rogue River in four sets Tuesday night to win their third straight Southern Cascade League match. Set scores were 28-30, 25-16, 25-14, 25-16. “The first set we didn’t come out very strong,” Glide coach Stephanie Furlong said. “We had a lot of errors but they turned it around. It was a win but it wasn’t a very clean win, so we have a lot of work to do before Thursday.” Kylie Anderson nine aces and four kills for the Wildcats (4-7, 3-0). “Kylie Anderson stepped up her serving game,” Furlong said. “She was the only reason we came back in that first set. She served well the whole match when she came in. She was a big player for us tonight.” Lily Ranger had four aces and 10 assists. Ruby Livingston had eight kills while Teagan Triplett had five aces and five kills. “It’s kind of how I was expecting it to go, we had a tough preseason. It really helped us grow as a team,” Furlong said in regards to the recent winning. Kylie Anderson and Triplet both twisted their ankles in practice yesterday so they were limited in playing time against Rogue River. Glide is now 3-0 in Southern Cascade League play and face Bonanza who is also undefeated in league play on Thursday at 5:15 p.m. at home.
