The Days Creek volleyball team finished off an undefeated Skyline League regular season Thursday night as they defeated North Douglas in four sets. Set scores were 25-15, 25-17, 15-25, 25-8. Days Creek (23-2, 14-0) have only lost two matches all season. Ashtyn Slater had 14 kills and 11 digs while Megan Kruzic had 22 assists for the Wolves. Joleen Crume had six stuff blocks. Shandiin Newton had four aces and Bailey Stufflebeam had five aces. “I was pleased with the way we played overall,” Days Creek coach Gloria Kruzic said. “North Douglas is always tough especially on their court. They’re very scrappy. Lots of long rallies, I was proud of the girls for just keeping on keeping on even when things weren’t falling our way.” The No. 2 ranked Wolves will play at McKenzie next Tuesday at 7p.m. in an nonleague OSAA endowment game before districts begin.
