Summer Junior Golf Program Starting Soon at RCC

The Summer Junior Golf program is just around the corner at Roseburg Country Club. Camps are open to the public. Camps begin June 27 for ages 5-10 and run Monday through Thursday from 9am-12pm. Kids will learn the basics of the game, while also learning to have fun with games related to golf that develop coordination skills. This is an introductory camp for beginners. Intermediate camps for Ages 8-13 begin July 4 and August 1 running Monday through Thursday from 9-12:30. U.S. Kids Tournament Returns to Roseburg Country Club April 16

A U.S. Kids Golf tournament is returning to the Roseburg Country Club on Saturday April 16. The tournament is a part of the Southwest Oregon local spring tour with tournaments in Southwest Oregon and Northern California. The spring tour gives boys and girls from age 6 and under, all the way up to 18 years an opportunity to play golf in various age brackets. Local Kids Play In U.S. Kids Tournament At Roseburg Country Club

32 kids played in the U.S. Kids Tournament on Saturday, October 9 at the Roseburg Country Club. Lana Silvestri from Roseburg played in the girls 11-12 bracket and shot an 89 (+17) for 18 holes. Silvestri birdied the 13th hole and made par on 6 other holes in her round. Joshua Schrock of Myrtle Creek played in the boys 8-year-old bracket and was the other local player to participate. Veterans Appreciation Tournament This Saturday At Roseburg Country Club

The 6th Annual Veterans Appreciation Golf Tournament is being hosted this Saturday, July 17 at the Roseburg Country Club benefiting veterans and military members in Douglas County. The Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 2468 in Roseburg hosts the tournament and funds raised go into the veteran's relief fund which helps local veterans. “We have quite a bit of people in the community who support and donate to this event,” VFW Post 2468 Commander Mike Eakin said. “We’re looking at over 100 golfers playing, last year we had 152 golfers and 15 volunteers which is pretty darn good.
